Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use The Event Register, whether you're a couple planning your wedding with us (your wedding website, RSVPs, guest list, seating plan, invitations, order of the day, photo album and guestbook), or a guest replying to an invitation or sharing to an album. The Event Register is run by Roddy McGillivray, a sole trader ("we", "us"). You can contact us at theguestalbum@gmail.com.

Your album

When you create an album, you get a QR code and share link for your event. Anyone with the code or link can open your album and add to it, so share it only with people you want to have it. What guests can upload, and for how long, depends on the plan you choose, as described on our pricing page.

Plans and payment

The Free plan costs nothing. Album and Wedding are one-time payments in pounds (GBP), taken by Stripe when you upgrade. There's no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Your plan starts as soon as you pay, so you agree that the service begins straight away. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Storage and downloads

Each plan has an upload window and a storage period. When the storage period ends, your photos, videos and messages, and your guest list, RSVPs and seating plan, are permanently deleted. We'll email you before that happens, but it's up to you to download anything you want to keep.

Your guests' details

When you add guests to your guest list, or guests reply to your RSVP, you're responsible for only adding people you're inviting and using their details for your wedding. Guests' meal choices, dietary needs and allergies are shown only to you, so you can pass them on to your venue or caterer.

What you share

You keep ownership of the photos, videos and messages you share. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people who can access the album, only so we can run the service. Please only share content you have the right to share, and nothing illegal, hateful or harmful. Couples and hosts on paid plans can hide or remove any upload, and we may remove content that breaks these terms.

Our service

We work hard to keep The Event Register running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free from errors. We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for anything outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Changes and law

We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
